& Waste Management Association's Environmental Resource Guides
We are
pleased to offer the Air
& Waste Management Association's Environmental Resource Guide
(ERG) Nonpoint Source Pollution Prevention series as a great curriculum
to use with EnviroScape. The series explores the impact of land use
on the quality of water.Topics include landfills, fertilizers, pesticides
and erosion.
Each ERG includes approximately 15
lessons with clearly stated educational objectives, background information,
preparation instructions, hands-on activities and extension activities,
which are designed to be integrated with general science, language
arts, math, social studies and art curricula.
Lessons center on activities and
class participation that make the information interesting and memorable,
and teach students what they can do on their own to help protect the
environment. The activities are also designed to develop critical
thinking skills, including observation, comparison, analysis and problem
solving.
All lessons have undergone rigorous
technical review by environmental experts to ensure a sound scientific
basis and all activities have been field tested by teachers.
